The Municipality of Laktaši belongs to the Krajina Region in the tourist zone of Bardaca Lake with Vrbas valley.

According to its natural characteristics and geographical place, our municipality belongs to the macro-regional plate of the Panon plain.

The Municipality of Laktaši territory is 388 square meters and lies 125 metres above sea level.

The total boarder of the MunicipalityLaktaši is about 104 kilometres and it borders 5 other municipalities (Banja Luka, Celinac, Prnjavor, Gradiška and Srbac).

40,000 people live in the municipality and middle population density is about 103.1 inhabitant per square kilometre.
Inhabitants mainly live in 37 settlements, one of which one is the town of Laktaši.

Laktaši tourism is mainly focused on the natural characteristics of the region, roads to major tourist routes including connections with the entire region and big centres in the vicinity.

There are two spas in Laktaši municipality which consists of two groups of thermo mineral water sources, one in Laktasi and the other in Slatina. These two spas are widely visited by local and international tourists.

Laktaši also has many archaeological sites mainly located in the Vrbas valley.

It is very important to mention the natural resort of Bardaca whicih is 32 kilometres away from Laktaši as well as the Kozara mountain whose sloping grounds are located in the territory of Laktaši municipality.
